unlike analog cables, digital cable does not matter much of the quality of the signal as long as the 1 and 0 signals gets through. A cheap cable is just as good a $100 dollar cable that bestbuy try to rip you off. I use these on my 2 HD TVs and PS3 and they all work great. works on dell laptops too.

Customer Review: Another Milestone for TV Design
Many things impress me about this set. The picture quality is incredible once you get it tweaked the way you like it. As good or better as any TV I've ever seen, including the 42" plasma Panasonic we got a while back. The blacks are amazing for an LCD and colors are true no matter what color temperature you choose. The reception was startling. I got only a few channels off the air before. None of them were ever clear. With this set and an old pair of rabbit ears I got about twenty channels and they all looked better than DVD's. I had no idea digital TV was going to improve things this much. At first I only set up the analog channels and they were fuzzy just like before. Then I realized there was another step to the auto programming and did it again. This time the ATSC channels were picked up and like I said, I was stunned. I'm in a rural area so I never expected it to be this good. As people said before, the sound is quite good. Also better than any small TV I've had before and plenty good enough I don't feel a need to add speakers. Lots of inputs including HDMI, well placed controls and a well placed headphone output. The menu is easy to use and the remote is wonderful, uncluttered and has every function you could need. I found I could get everything on my cable system without the need for their box (except on-demand and pay per view). They (comcast) use some funky locations though. The set picked up the same channels on several different bands. I don't know why they do this but it makes it hard to remember where stuff is. I took the time to write down the numbers for every channel as a reference, using the first band they appeared on. I pretty much only watch news and weather so the favorites menu is a godsend, though I wish it had more than eight presets. By far the one aspect of this set that impresses me the most is the styling. Sony has always been an innovator in both picture technology and TV set design. Their XBR series was a milestone when it was introduced. At that year's CES show the Toshiba Rep told me it would take the rest of the industry years to catch up to Sony (again). One of the cool things about the XBR is it didn't look like every other TV being sold at the time. It even came in a rose color (I think they called it Mauve). This 19" LCD is another example of the brilliance of Sony design. If you look at the TV's sold here at Amazon, they all have a pedestal base and a wide aspect ratio with a black frame around the display. They all look the same, and in fact, they all look exactly like all the computer monitors being sold today as well. This set is beautiful and doubly so because of its uniqueness. The 16x10 ratio (as another review pointed out) is a perfect choice, making 4:3 full screen look a lot less distorted. The 16x9 HD images have only a slight bar above and below the picture (thanks to the incredible black this set produces it's almost unnoticeable). The square look with the radius corners is very classy and very appealing aesthetically. The opening along the bottom gives the impression the TV is floating. The set's cabinet is heavy and very high quality. I got the black one and was surprised to see the cabinet is white. It's a beautiful combination with a slight white line around the black front, like a graphic design. The TV is very stable with the bracket in the back. It will stand up straight in a vertical position and feels plenty solid. The bit about a strap to secure it probably comes from the fact that Sony's US headquarters is located in Brisbane, only about 60 miles from the epicenter of the Lomo Prieta Earthquake in 1989. I was an electronics retailer at the time (much closer to the epicenter) and we lost everything in the store. A 100 lb. 32" Sony flew about ten feet and smashed itself on a counter. I think everyone in three counties lost their TV. After that quake everyone was advised to strap their TV's, bookcases and the doors to cabinets securely. Sony btw was the best of all our vendors in helping us recover. They are a class act in every way, and the innovative styling of TV's like this one deserves a place in the Museum of Industrial Design. I love it. Highly recommended.

Customer Review: good as a wifi extender but max speed is 14 mps
I purchased the product to extended the range of my wifi especially when doors are closed. As a range extender it worked great but the product description says speed is 54 mps, but that is the speed of the wireless unit, the speed is actually 14 mps max due to the router until that is connected to your router. I needed more speed than that so I exchanged for the a/c wired 200 mps units which nets out to 80 mps at the receiving unit.

Customer Review: nice mini server
This thing is pretty much plug and play, for the abundance of different services that this thing can do I thought configuration was a snap. I like this server, it's compact, quiet, simple and fast. I used it for RAID 1 with two SATA 1TB hard drives from WD - so far it has been online for a month. There was initial problem with passwords, that is why I took of one star. I tried to set a more secure admin password by using special symbols, but then I was not able to log in. which gave me a headache for a bit, until I figured it out. Using letters and numbers is ok. Thanks to its web file manager I was able to access my files through the iphone, and there are still features I haven't explored yet. I would recommend this product.

Customer Review: Great little camera
I bought this for my wife but I wanted something I could use to do more challenging type shots and videos. I was impressed it would allow for HD Video recording (720P). We took the camera on our vacation to Vegas and the Grand Canyon. It did a great job. The quality of recording and picture was outstanding. I was a little disappointed that I could not zoom while recording video (could zoom in while paused and re-start recording) and also the auto focus seemed to "hunt" a lot when doing movie recordings. I would have liked more options for focus in the movie mode other than Auto and Fixed Infinity. Other than that it was a great camera.
Customer Review: 720p video clips does not play in PS3
I bought a Sony CyberShot (DSC-W290) specifically because it records 720p video (MPEG4). I recorded few clips and inserted the Memory Stick Pro-Duo into PS3 (and on Sony HDTV). It recognizes all my pictures but the video folders are empty. Either 720p standard or fine videos does not show in the folder to play. Only the video recorded with the lowest resolution (VGA) shows up and able play them (I was experimenting recording with all 3 options). I called Sony's camera Customer Service and they told me to use a different Memory Stick which I did (different brands) but same results. They told me that something is wrong with my PS3 and told me to contact PS3 Customer Service. I did that and they are telling any MPEG4 video should play on PS3 (no fireware updates needed) and telling me to call Sony's Camera Cust. Service. I tried connecting the USB to PS3 and playing the videos on the PS3 but still no luck.

LensPEN Lens Cleaning System Works absolutely great. I live in Arizona where dust is a continuous problem. The brush is gentle and removes the dust perfectly. The lens cleaner and the LCD cleaner do a superb job of cleaning. These items are always with me when I go out on shoots. You wouldn't go out on a photo shoot without an extra battery, don't go on a photo shoot without these!!!

The system is easy to set up and easy to use. The sound at low to mid volume is great. If you like to rattle the walls, i don't think you will be happy with this unit .. it distorts when cranked up. However, for the price, it's a bargin.

This item arrived Friday 6/12/09 and as soon as it arrived I tried it on my Inspiron 1505 and my son's 1501 and it did not charge either. I contacted these people on Friday and got one response that said they would gladly exchange or fully refund the product, but they need more information to make sure it wasn't a technical issue. I responded back and gave them all of the information they requested and here it is 2 days later and I have not gotten any response at all. At first I was willing to exchange, but now I don't want to deal with people that take your money and leave you hanging. I needed to get this issue resolved as soon as possible as my son is leaving out of town and will need to take our only working adapter. So please beware if you buy this product it may not work and they will take their time responding to you!!!

This item was just what was needed. The laptop battery was dead and appeared not to hold a charge. I ordered an adapter previously that would only feed power to the laptop when plugged into an outlet. Each time the laptop was unplugged (i.e., to be moved to another room) we would get a startup error that the laptop was not shut down correctly. Taking a chance, I ordered this adapter and I am extremely happy with the purchase - shipping was prompt, and the product allows AC usage AND charges the battery. Kudos!

Yes, it plays mp3, dvds, etc... but the user interface is SO UGLY... really, it's like taken from the movie Tron. And it's important to say that i love Tron. Come on, it's not the year 1999. The iPod controls are so old it's barly imposible to find a song it you have a big library. Another flaw is that there is no outside screen, so u ALWAYS have to have the ugly screen out, and trust me, you get sick of it. I wouldn't recomend it. Look for one you can read while closed, and ith a UI at least a little bit nice.

With a surprising amount of functionality in a remarkably tiny package (think of a deck of cards) this camera outperforms many a snap-and-shoot with a very nimble shutter speed and a breathtaking view screen. The pictures rendered are very crisp and clear and the camera supports a wide angled format (usually only seen in DSLRs). To make the most of all the features, be sure to acquire one of the camera compatible memory cards; the video capability will not operate without it.

Having recently purchased this camera and back from my first trip using it, I must say it is a nice camera for the price. The features are amazing and I have not even skimmed the surface of it's capabilities. I'm not really in love with the companion software that came with it, I'm still using my Kodak software to crop, etc., but the camera itself is great. I recommended that my Dad purchase one, which he did. He's in his mid 70's and not very technical, but he took some pretty good pictures with his last weekend.

This is our second Canon Powershot. The SX1 IS was terrific and after 25,000 saved images, the focusing gears were literally griding. (The time spent taking photos in a desert sandstorm may have contributed!) The SX10 IS is terrific because--it has low shutter lag time, excellent face recognition focusing, is solidly built and fits the hand well, 20X zoom, very effective image stabilization that allows frequent use of the long zoom in surprisingly low light, has 10 megapixel resolution and uses normal AAA batteries, We always use rechargables and get several hundred photos (without flash usage) between recharging. The swivel screen is a major aid in taking closeups of flowers, insects and small children. With 7 grandchildren and living in the beautiful Northwest, it rarely cools off!

I've only had this camera a short time, haven't even had time to play with it beyond the basic functions, but already am thrilled with it. Still shots of birds on the far side of the back yard are amazingly clear and focused. The most amazing is the close-ups, both still and video. After taking many pictures of a flower spider, and cropping and enlarging some, I saw incredible details that I hadn't noticed, even with my face 6 inches away from the real thing! The translucence of the skeleton, copper-colored markings, hairs on the legs... If a camera can get me this excited about a spider, it's got to be good!

This is my second Lenovo notebook. The first one was a ThinkPad R61 which I liked very much. It got stolen out of the back of my car. So, liking the Lenovo product, I bought a new one. The product I am reviewing is similar to the "item being reviewed," the main differences being that I have a 2.0G processor where this one has a 2.13G processor. Build Quality: Lenovo is the company which manufactured IBM's laptop computers. IBM's laptops were designed for business users. They were tough enough to be dragged around everywhere. It continues to make laptop computers which are more road friendly than the competition, even in this unit which is "home user" oriented. On most of the competition's laptop computers for school and home use, you can twist the lid/screen and there is a good deal of flex. Not so here. This means the screen is less likely to get damaged or cracked. The rest of the case similarly has little flex which means it is well built. While the keyboard is not up to the quality of the ThinkPad line, it is still very good and does not have much flex or bend when you type on it. It is a bit heavy weighing in at over 6 lbs, but it is worth it to me when I consider that it is less likely to break. XP Drivers available on-line: The Y530 comes with Vista Home Premium. Mine has the 64 bit o/s. I hate Vista. It is bloated, slow, overly intrusive, the Start Menu was modified poorly from XP, it is cumbersome to find any administrative tools and it does not work with many pieces of business software. When Microsoft updates their operating systems, it seems that only their software works on the newer o/s. WordPerfect X3 (the better word processor!), Paperport 11.0, older versions of WordPerfect and Legal Solutions Plus and many older game programs simply won't work properly, even when you tell the system to run the program in XP mode. This, I suspect, is the reason about 75% of the business computers still run XP. Vista Ultimate and Business come with downgrade rights to XP. Here, no such rights exist; HOWEVER, Lenovo provides drivers and software on line so you can load XP!!! (XP is faster than Vista and runs everything I need!) I will be downgrading. Performance: I get the following benchmarks with Vista: Performance Test 6.1: 525.7 PC Wizard (not valid because of 64 bit o/s) = 2047 3DMark 01 = 5193 3DMark 03 = 2269 3DMark 05 = 1199 3DMark 06 = 905 SuperPI calculation of PI to 1M places takes 29.25 seconds. PLEASE REMEMBER, MINE HAS THE SLOWER PROCESSOR SO THIS SHOULD BE ABOUT 5 - 10% FASTER! In short, this machine is not as fast as my 2 year old XP based desktop which has a 2.13GHz Core 2 Duo with 2G of memory, an ATI All In Wonder X800XL video card on a Gigabyte 965G-DS3 motherboard running XP. This box is not up to speed for modern gamers. It has good speed as a home entertainment and business/school oriented system. An O/S downgrade to XP would no doubt give you an extra 10% or so of speed. Appearance and Functionality: Lenovo still goes with the industrial black look. The outside is plain dull black which is textured so as to make it easier to grip. None of the high gloss colored plastic stuff that is on so many HPs and Dells and Sony Vaios. Inside, you get a piano black high gloss plastic surrounding the 15.4" screen. The hinge is in the back of the machine, and rather than clamp the screen on the top of the box, the lid is bent and wraps around the computer/keyboard/electronics bottom section. The keyboard is surrounded by a single piece of brushed metal with a black touch sensitive multimedia controls above the keyboard and an orange volume control on the right side of the touch controls. The box contains five speakers, including an alleged subwoofer which fires downward under the computer. I would look at the Toshibas with the HK speaker systems for a better audio performance. It comes with a multi-card reader slot, dual layer dvd/CD writer, HDMI output, VGA output, 3 USB ports, modem, ethernet port, built in WIFI, Dolby Digital sound system, microphone and 1.3 megapixel camera in the lid. It includes Veriface software which allows the computer to enter your log-on password using just your image. The Veriface software is very sensitive, and works only from the right distance and at the same angle. It does not seem to be available on XP. Cons: Unlike HP, the keyboard has no angle to it, so you are typing on a slightly uncomfortable surface if you have it on a desk or table. There are four small rubber pieces which protect the screen when the lid is closed. Two are right under your wrists and my writs rub against them unless I wear a long sleve shirt. It comes with Vista and a trial version of Norton Anti-virus, which I find ineffective and annoying. The high gloss screen is a little too high gloss and too reflective under certain circumstances. Conclusion: Based on the price to performance ratio, excelent build quality and availability of XP drivers on line, I would not hesitate to purchase this unit again.

I was looking for a cabinet exhaust fan kit for my cabinet which includes Dish HD DVR and external USB Hard Drive in one shelf, PS3 with another external USB Hard Drive in another shelf of the cabinet with other components like audio receiver, dvd multi changer, dvd recorder in other shelfs of same cabinet. Many times dish receiver switches itself off due to overheat in the cabinet. Similar problem with PS3. I bought this CabCool1203 kit and installed in first shelf contaning dish hd receiver and usb hard drive. Although first I thought the assembly will be complex but it was so easy after watching the video on YouTube (and even with instruction that comes with kit). This product works perfectly. Fans comes on automatically as son as temperatures goes above 86F and switches off at 81F. Recommend it to everyone who has hard drive based electronics in the closed cabinets. My wife grabbed one of the camera about 6 months ago and I've been drooling over it ever since. Canon DSLRs have always been excellent cameras, but this one is truly amazing. It's lightning fast, has great color (especially skin tones), and in kit form comes with an image stabilizing lens. The sensor auto cleans and can handle pretty low light without using the flash. There are two types of photographers: Those who use Canons and those who WILL be using Canons. For the money, this piece of photo equipment cannot be beat. Of all the features packed into this camera, the one that allows the photographer to change picture styles, including black and white, is, to me, the most amazing. Even when boosted to ISO 3,200, the noise is not a problem, and I mainly shoot at ISO 1,600 and produce crisp images when enlarged to 16 X 24. Also, the dust removal system is flawless. A truly great and impressive camera.

After about one month past the first anniversary of my Dell XPS m1530, the Dell battery that came with my computer (85Wh, 9-cell Li-ion) stopped charging, or, when it did charge, would only hold the charge for a few minutes. This was a sudden change, not the usual gradual decline in capacity over a number of years as I have experienced with other laptops. Not great, since although the computer has a few years of warranty left, Dell only gives the battery one year. I looked into getting another Dell battery from Dell, but found it to be very expensive, and that a lot of people were having similar experiences with their Dell batteries shortly after the one year mark. After a lot of searching, I found this third party battery on Amazon, which cost less than half the price of the Dell battery. This battery has been working great so far. If I have future problems in a year I will be sure to return to provide an update. A few things to note about the dimensions of this battery. It is not as long as my old Dell battery (10-7/8 inch vs 12-1/2 inch). Both batteries raise the computer when installed, but the new battery raises the computer about 1/8 inch less than the old Dell battery. Finally, this new battery extends out the back of the laptop by about 1/2 inch, whereas the old Dell battery did not extend past the back of the laptop at all. I never noticed that the new battery extended past the back until I tried to put my laptop in my backpack and it would not fit in the laptop sleeve.

I bought this because the 6 cell battery for my M1530 didn't last quite as long as I would like. I received the product 5 business days after ordering in good packaging with a special bag to protect the battery. Took out my old battery and put this one in and it worked right away. Came 50% charged and now at high performance I can get a good 3 - 3.5 hours out of it; I can get much more by setting Vista to balanced or power saver. BE AWARE THAT THIS BATTERY RAISES THE BACK OF YOUR LAPTOP WHEN INSTALLED. Only con that doesn't really matter is that the seller did not notify me when the battery was shipped or provide me with a tracking number but I still got it in decent time. Also this battery is much cheaper than buying it from Dell.

A great little HDTV mounted under cabinets in our kitchen. Excellent picture within a somewhat narrow viewing range. I recommend the addition of a set of amplified multimedia speakers to be used in lieu of the less than adequate internal sound system. Otherwise, a great set for the money.

Customer Review: Another Milestone for TV Design
Many things impress me about this set. The picture quality is incredible once you get it tweaked the way you like it. As good or better as any TV I've ever seen, including the 42" plasma Panasonic we got a while back. The blacks are amazing for an LCD and colors are true no matter what color temperature you choose. The reception was startling. I got only a few channels off the air before. None of them were ever clear. With this set and an old pair of rabbit ears I got about twenty channels and they all looked better than DVD's. I had no idea digital TV was going to improve things this much. At first I only set up the analog channels and they were fuzzy just like before. Then I realized there was another step to the auto programming and did it again. This time the ATSC channels were picked up and like I said, I was stunned. I'm in a rural area so I never expected it to be this good. As people said before, the sound is quite good. Also better than any small TV I've had before and plenty good enough I don't feel a need to add speakers. Lots of inputs including HDMI, well placed controls and a well placed headphone output. The menu is easy to use and the remote is wonderful, uncluttered and has every function you could need. I found I could get everything on my cable system without the need for their box (except on-demand and pay per view). They (comcast) use some funky locations though. The set picked up the same channels on several different bands. I don't know why they do this but it makes it hard to remember where stuff is. I took the time to write down the numbers for every channel as a reference, using the first band they appeared on. I pretty much only watch news and weather so the favorites menu is a godsend, though I wish it had more than eight presets. By far the one aspect of this set that impresses me the most is the styling. Sony has always been an innovator in both picture technology and TV set design. Their XBR series was a milestone when it was introduced. At that year's CES show the Toshiba Rep told me it would take the rest of the industry years to catch up to Sony (again). One of the cool things about the XBR is it didn't look like every other TV being sold at the time. It even came in a rose color (I think they called it Mauve). This 19" LCD is another example of the brilliance of Sony design. If you look at the TV's sold here at Amazon, they all have a pedestal base and a wide aspect ratio with a black frame around the display. They all look the same, and in fact, they all look exactly like all the computer monitors being sold today as well. This set is beautiful and doubly so because of its uniqueness. The 16x10 ratio (as another review pointed out) is a perfect choice, making 4:3 full screen look a lot less distorted. The 16x9 HD images have only a slight bar above and below the picture (thanks to the incredible black this set produces it's almost unnoticeable). The square look with the radius corners is very classy and very appealing aesthetically. The opening along the bottom gives the impression the TV is floating. The set's cabinet is heavy and very high quality. I got the black one and was surprised to see the cabinet is white. It's a beautiful combination with a slight white line around the black front, like a graphic design. The TV is very stable with the bracket in the back. It will stand up straight in a vertical position and feels plenty solid. The bit about a strap to secure it probably comes from the fact that Sony's US headquarters is located in Brisbane, only about 60 miles from the epicenter of the Lomo Prieta Earthquake in 1989. I was an electronics retailer at the time (much closer to the epicenter) and we lost everything in the store. A 100 lb. 32" Sony flew about ten feet and smashed itself on a counter. I think everyone in three counties lost their TV. After that quake everyone was advised to strap their TV's, bookcases and the doors to cabinets securely. Sony btw was the best of all our vendors in helping us recover. They are a class act in every way, and the innovative styling of TV's like this one deserves a place in the Museum of Industrial Design. I love it. Highly recommended.

Customer Review: An excellent camera for the money
I bought this camera over a month ago and have taken and printed several pictures. I am very pleased with the quality of the photos and the ease of using and carrying the camera. It fits easily in a pocket. I also have a Nikon Coolpix that I have had a few years. I really like the zoom and image-stabilization on the Panasonic Lumix and the compact, flat shape. It also has a much faster flash cycle than the Nikon. So far, I like all the features that I have used on this camera.

I bought it for my 17" MacBook Pro to sit on next to my 24" Cinema Display. The laptop used to take up 25% of my desk. With the stand it uses about 12% and I can slide papers/books/etc underneath it. I don't use the cable routing hole in the back because it looks better ironically. Very sturdy, does not slide around (stand or laptop), and aluminum matches Apple products very well. I highly recommend you buy one.
